Abstract

Islamic boarding schools, or pesantren, are educational institutions in Indonesia that focus on the teachings of Islam. In addition to teaching various religious aspects, pesantren also has a significant impact on shaping morals of the students, One of the applications of the gender segregation system in the Islamic Boarding School education process is the separation between Male and female students are kept apart during their daily studies, whether in the classroom or elsewhere, as well as in their living accommodations. distance, the establishment of a segregation policy in educational management is the term hijab in the Qur'an, this is mentioned in the Qur'an letter (al-Ahzab verse 53) which means that if men want to ask women, they must be behind the hijab. This hijab is interpreted as a curtain, barrier or blocker, whose function is to separate men and women so as not to communicate and meet directly, the method used in designing is to pay attention to the activities of building users, The aim of this design is to develop a building arrangement and which can accommodate building users and can anticipate bullying activities.
