Pengaruh Setting Suhu AC Terhadap Konsumsi Energi Listrik Pada Kampus II Aie Pacah Universitas Bung Hatta
Abstract
Bung Hatta University is one of the largestcolleges in West Sumatra, at this time of Bung Hatta
University has three campus locations which campus I,
Campus II, and III campus. AC loads are used with varying
load consumption of 460.318 kVA. Therefore, the consumption
levels are quite high, therefore the consumers make efforts to
save electricity consumption. On Government Regulation No.
70 of 2009 states that users of energy sources and energy using
a source of energy and / or energy greater than or equal to
6,000 tons of oil equivalent per year are required to conduct
energy conservation through energy management. For the
HVAC system as the Regulation No.14 of 2012 of the Minister
of Energy and Mineral Resources Chapter III of
implementation of energy savings, that the temperature is
between 24oC workspace is set up to 27oC with relative
humidity between 55% to 65%. Performance assessment
method Air Conditioning (AC) includes detailed calculations
COP (coƫficient of Performance) and the cooling effect in
terms of the external fluid is air. There is a linear relationship
between temperature settings to energy consumption, and
COP refrigeration effect. Decrease the temperature setting
from 25oC to 17oC causes a linear reduction in energy
consumption, increased refrigeration effect and increased COP
is linear. Penghematan electricity consumption will have an
impact on the costs to be incurred each month, at the current
spending on electric bill Campus II University of Bung Hatta
IDR 53.3254 million. Based on the results obtained for AC 2
PK obtained capacity reduction in energy consumption by
42.78%, increase in refrigeration effect amounted to 9.65%
and an increase of 43.26% COP. So the energy savings of
371.664 kWh of energy consumption 870 kWh per month at a
cost savings of IDR 23,773,702 from IDR 55.572.000 monthly.
