PEDESTRIAN PATH REVIED FROM COMFORTABLE ASPECT AND SAFETY TO PEDESTRIAN IN THE LONG ROAD OF PERMINDO

ABSTRACT

The problem of this research was to know how far the pedestrian felt comfort and   save in the interaction with the square of Padang city generally and to the street of Permindo especially. This research aim to know the area of Permindo Street and to be more paying attention some aspects provided the safety, comfort to pedestrian and accommodating the existence of street buyer was not ignored both in trading and consuming. This research is a survey approach, where the research was done to the big population and small, however data to be learned was taken from random sampling by simple proportional random sampling technique consisted of 75 peoples. They were official, private staff, students and society. Instruments of this research used likert scale. Based on data analysis showed that from student group and university student affirmed that lack of comfortable and save when take a stroll in pedestrian, from official group and private also felt lack of comfort and save when take a stroll in Permindo Street. Similarly to society group felt uncomforted and unsaved when walking to the pedestrian area of Permindo Street.
