Abstract

he amount of waste per day transported to the landfill in Kerinci Regency is only 30-40% of the
total volume of waste which averages 271.04 m³ / day. This shows the relatively low performance
of solid waste management. The purpose of this study was to find out and analyze the factors that
could affect the performance of solid waste management in Kerinci District. The method of this
research is qualitative and quantitative methods. The types of research data are primary data and
secondary data. Technical data analysis is multiple linear regression. This study found that: 1)
Factors that influence the performance of waste management in Kerinci Regency consist of
operational technical aspects, institutional aspects, regulatory aspects, financing aspects, aspects
of community participation. 2) The most dominant variable affecting the performance of waste
management is the operational technical aspects with a regression coefficient of 0.307. This shows
that the magnitude of the influence of operational technical variables on the performance of waste
management is 30.7% and the remaining 69.3% is influenced by other variables
