ANALISIS FAKTOR-FAKTOR PENYEBAB KEMISKINAN NELAYAN TRADISIONAL DI PANTAI INDAH KELURAHAN KOTO JAYA KABUPATEN MUKOMUKO

Abstract

The poverty center of traditional fishing communities in Mukomuko Regency is located in
Koto Jaya Village, especially in the Pantai Indah area. The purpose of this study was to
analyze the causes of poverty of traditional fishermen and analyze the poverty level of
traditional fishermen in Pantai Indah, Koto Jaya Village, Mukomuko Regency. The analysis
method used in this study is Multiple Linear Regression Analysis and Chi-Square Analysis.
Data collection techniques using the interview method with the help of questionnaires. The
test results of multiple linear regression analysis show that technological factors have a very
significant effect which indicates that technology is the main factor causing poverty. The
poverty level of traditional fishermen at Pantai Indah belongs to the category of poor. The
results showed that expenditure, education, family health and home ownership status had no
effect on income where the chi-square count showed <from t table (10.624 <16.92, 13.650
<16.92, 12.152 <16.92 and 6.602 <16.92) . This shows that despite having low income,
health is a priority for fishermen.
