Abstract

ABSTRACT
The issue of subjective occupational succes becomes an important aspect, both for
practitioners and academics. This study aims to investigate the relationship between selfefficacy and subjective occupational success, with learning opportunities and work
engagement as mediation. The target population in this study is all state civil apparatuses in
the Tanah Datar District Secretariat. The sampling technique used was a census with a total
sample of 101 respondents. The results of this study found that self-efficacy has a positive
effect on learning opportunities, self-efficacy has a positive effect on work engagement, then
learning opportunities have a positive effect on work engagement, work engagement has a
positive effect on subjective occupational success, learning opportunities mediate the
relationship between self-efficacy and work engagement and the latter is a work attachment
mediating the relationship between self-efficacy and subjective occupational success.
