Abstract

Abstract
This study aims to look at the effect of a variable on other variables, in this case explaining the
influence of leadership style and compensation to employee performance with work motivation as an
intervening variable at Aisyiyah Hospital in Padang. The population in this study was 119 people. The
sample technique that will be used in this study is Stratified random sampling, thus the number of samples in
this study were 92 people. Data analysis method uses Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Square
(SEM-PLS) by using SEM method based on Partial Least Square (PLS) with SmartPLS 2.0 M3 tools that
require 2 stages for the evaluation of a research model, namely the outer model and inner model ( Ghozali,
2006). The PLS calculation stage uses 2 models, namely the Measurement Model (Outer Model) and
Structural Model Testing (Inner Model). The results of the study indicate that there is a significant positive
influence of leadership style on employee performance, there is a significant positive effect of compensation
on employee performance, there is an influence of leadership style on employee work motivation, there is an
effect of compensation on employee work motivation, there is an influence of motivation on employee
performance, there the influence of leadership style on employee performance through work motivation,
There is the effect of compensation on employee performance through work motivation.
