Abstract

Abstract
Pondok Road Corridor Area (Simpang Karya-Simpang Kinol) does not yet have a pedestrian
that is suitable and comfortable for pedestrians, where visitors crossing or walking in this
corridor must walk in the yard of the shops or offices. In addition the existing parking system
is still utilizing the road and land/ shopping complex.
This study uses a Deductive Approach with Qualitative and Quantitative Analysis.
The implementation of the city walk concept can be used as a strategy in developing cities
that have their own history by revitalizing the old part of the region. Later the city walk
concept is also expected to be an alternative in an effort to revive and lift the already faded
city area or the conservation of old cities in other Indonesian cities.
Restructuring this area can increase its identity as a commercial and service area because
the corridor area of the Pondok Street has the potential to provide services to visitors to this
corridor both as a commercial area and as a service provider.
