ANALISIS RISIKO KECELAKAAN KERJA PADA BENGKEL / WORKSHOP POLITEKNIK PELAYARAN SUMATERA BARAT MENGGUNAKAN METODE HAZARD IDENTIFICATION AND RISK ASSESMENT (HIRA)
Abstract
AbstractPolytechnic Campus is a university as a place to hold vocational education in a number
of specialized fields of knowledge which are equipped with machining workshop
facilities. The practical activities carried out in the form of machine operations: lathe,
vertical milling, horizontal milling, drill, grinding, scrap, welding (welding) and bench
work practices. Every job, contains risks, both coming from themselves and from the
place and work environment of the cadets. So that the cadets avoid the risk of danger.
Because the workshop / workshop is very prone to hazards, a research on occupational
hazard risk analysis was conducted using the Hazard Identification And Risk Assessment
(HIRA) method with the aim of identifying occupational hazards, analyzing potential
hazards and providing recommendations to reduce potential occupational hazard risks.
Cadets while practicing in the workshop / workshop. This research method is HIRA
(Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment), with the results of the study as follows: 1a.
For the severity of the danger of work accidents in the workshop / workshop at the West
Sumatra Shipping Polytechnic, namely in the Turning job with the potential danger of
hair wrapped around and a machine rolled round. Being in the severity of category 1
namely Catastrophic Death or loss of the system and serious injuries resulting in
permanent disability, frequency of exposure to danger at level E (not possible in the
system cycle) and D (can occur in the system cycle) and the level of risk score 4 and 8
with low priority and medium priority / significant risk. b. For the frequency level of
exposure to hazards that often occur with the potential level A hazards (often and
repeatedly in the system) are at work: - Turning with potential danger of being hit by a
lathe powder with a severity IV Neglicable with minor injuries and damage to some
systems and requires help first, the level of risk at level 5 with low priority / low risk. -
Vertical milling machine with the potential danger of being exposed to a bounced powder
with a level IV severity Neglicable with minor injuries and partial damage to the system
and requires first-aid level 5 risk level with low priority / Low risk. - For horizontal
milling machines with the potential danger of boiling hot powder, it can cause irritation.
Blisters with level IV Neglicable severity with minor injuries and partial damage to the
system and need help with a risk level of 5 with low priority / low risk. c. For priority risk
hazards in the 7 (seven) work activities in Lathe found in the work Turning with the
activity of laying tools / keys with potential hazards Affected by bouncing powder that has
a priority value of 12> 10 is a top priority and requires immediate action in handling it ,
but the severity of Ctitical category 2 danger is severe occupational disease and severe
system damage with Frequency B level exposure frequency, which is several times in the
system.
