EVALUASI KEBUTUHAN FASILITAS PELABUHAN DAN STRATEGI PENGEMBANGAN PELAYANAN PERBEKALAN MELAUT DI PELABUHAN PERIKANAN PANTAI KABUPATEN GORONTALO UTARA

Abstract

The research about requirement evaluation of port facility and development strategy of marine service at the coastal fishery port of North Gorontalo Regency was conducted  from September to December 2012. The aim of this research was 1) to study more clearly about the  facility condiution, activity and output of exiting port at coastal fishery port of North Gorontalo Regency and 2) to orgnize the development strategy and to improve the function of coastal fishery port of North Gorontalo Regency based on internal and external factors in order to fulfill the priority needs of marine service to fisherman at the port. From the result of research can be seen that the existing condtion  of port facility at nort gorontalo was still far from the suitable usage. To be required some rehabilitation and addition to the facility of port for example fuel facility, fresh water facility and ice to two port PPP Kwandang and PPI Gentuma. The condition of landing activity, marketing and processing to two fishery port of North Gorontalo Regency was good. Meanwhile, the value of production output of the marine fish to each the port in 2011 to PPP Kwandang was 2.882,9 ton and to PPI Gentuma was 20,3 ton. The facility for marine needs (fuel, water and ice) at the fishery port of North Gorontalo Regency was still not fullfile the demand. The result of scoring analysis showed that the port which become priority to develop was PPP Kwandang (value 117), and then PPI Gentuma (value 72,2). The strategy should be implemented in the development of the port facility to fulfill the demand of fihserman at the fisher port  of Nort Gorontalo Regency was ST strategy by doing : 1) to have optimalization the potency of SDI at the same time do the protection to the Indonesian marine, 2) to develop the facility of fishery port which fulfill the international standar, 3) to keep and maintan the operational fishery port, 4) to increase the institution capacity and 5) to control and apply the law suppremacy.
