Abstract

Organizational citizenship behavior has received a great deal of attentions in organizational studies due to be able to enhance an organization success by permitting it to more effectively allocate the financial and human resources. From theoretical aspects, there are several variables that affect on OCB, such as transformation leadership, procedural justice. This study aims to examine the effect of transformational leadership and procedural fairness on organizational commitment and organizational citizenship behavior. In addition, this study also investigate the role of organizational commitment as intervening variables on relationship between transformational leadership, procedural justice and OCB. the population of the study are 139 nurses with the sample of 128 nurses. Survey method is used to gain the data by using the questioner. Data analysis techniques used to test the hypothesis simple regression, multiple regression, multilevel regression. The results of this study found that transformational leadership and procedural and organizational commitment have a significant effect on organizational citizenship behavior. Also found that transformational leadership significantly influence organizational commitment but procedural In addition, can be concluded that that organizational commitment plays a mediating variable of the effect of transformational leadership on organizational citizenship behavior organizational commitment but however, it does not act as a mediating variable of the influence of procedural fairness on citizenship behavior organization. This study has a practical and theoretical implications. The practical implication is that OCB can be improved by increasing the level of transformational leadership and procedural justice.
