PENGARUH KEMAMPUAN MEMBACA PEMAHAMAN DAN MOTIVASI BELAJARTERHADAP KEMAMPUAN MENYUSUN TEKS ULASAN SECARA MANDIRI SISWA KELAS VIII SMP BUNDA PADANG

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to explain influance of reading comprehension skill
about ability to compose text review of students class VIII SMP Bunda Padang,
explaining influence of leraning motivation on the ability to compose a text review of
students class VIII SMP Bunda Padang. The teori of this research is Agustina (2008)
explains about reading comprehension, next Sardiman (2011) explain about learning
motivation, Mahsun (2014) and Priyatni (2014) explain about text. The type of
research categorized as a survey with correlational analyzes to obtain data with
distributing questionnaires, tests, interviews and etc. Data processing using program
SPSS version 16.00. The results showed that three things about: (1) there is a
significant influence reading comprehension skill to compose text on review, (2) there
is significant influence of learning motivation to compose text reviews, (3) there is a
significant influence reading comprehension skill and leraning motivation to
compose text on the review. Based on results of the research it can be concluded that
reading comprehension skill and learning motivation have an influence on the ability
to compose text review, the higher level of reading comprehension of the students and
the higher the students' motivation, the ability to compose a text review of the
students will also be higher.
