Abstract

The thesis discussed the effect of Cooperative Learning Model CIRC and Learning
motivation on the student ability to convert short story text of drama. The purpuse is to
find and describel: (1) the influence of the CIRC on the ability to convert the short story
to the text of drama by student the Class XI IPA of Islamic Senior High School 2 Sungai
Penuh, (2) the influence of the student learning motivation on the abilityto do the
convertion, and (3) the influence of the interaction between the model of learning and
student motivation in the ability to do the convertion. Type of the research is experimental
study, using a quantitative approach. The population oof this research was student of
class XI IPA, Islamic Senior High School 2 Sunai Penuh of the year 2014/2015,
Technique sampling is cluster random sampling that is sample in this research is an
experimental class is XI IPA2 and a control class in XI IPA1. Data were analyzed using ttest
and ANOVA. Data processing using SPSS version 15.00. The results showed that: 1)
There is the effect of the use of cooperative learning model CIRC on the ability to convert
text short story to play script of student Class XI Islamic Senior High School 2 Sungai
Penuh, Sig. 0,000 < alpha 0,05 dan thitung = 6,241 > ttabel = 2,02 to believe 95%. 2)
Students are capable of high motivation, the use of cooperative learning model CIRC in
convert text short story to play script students class XI Islamic Senior High School 2
Sungai Penuh better than the conventional technique Class XI Islamic Senior High
School 2 Sungai Penuh, Sig 0,000 < alpha 0,05 dan thitung = 5,554 > ttabel = 2,to believe
95% 3) Students are capable of lower motivation, the use of cooperative learning model
CIRC in convert text short story to play script better than the conventional technique
Class XI Islamic Senior High School 2 Sungai Penuh Sig 0,024 < alpha 0,05 dan thitung =
2,409 > ttabel = 2,05 to believe 95% 4) There is no interaction between the CIRC
cooperative learning model and motivation to convert text a short story to play script
student Class XI Islamic Senior High School 2 Sungai Penuh, Sig 0,224 > alpha 0,05
Based on the findings obtained from the results of the research, found that the ability to
convert text a short story to play script group of students taught using cooperative
learning model CIRC better than when compared with the ability to convert text a short
story to play script in students Class XI Islamic Senior High School 2 Sungai Penuh with
the conventional technique
