PENGARUH BUDAYA ORGANISASI, KARAKTERISTIK PEKERJAAN, MOTIVASI DAN KOMUNIKASI TERHADAP KEPUASAN KERJA PEGAWAI PADA SEKRETARIAT DAERAH KABUPATEN SOLOK SELATAN

Abstract

The aims of this study was to analyze the effect of organizational culture, job
characteristics, motivation and communication on job satisfaction in Regional
Secretary Office, Soutern Solok Regency. The population of the study is civil servents
who are currently working for Regional Secretary Office, Soutern Solok Regency.
This study used all population members as respondent that accounted for 95
employess. In order to test hypotheses, this study conducted multiple regression
analysis by using SPSS version 16.0. The results of analysis revealed that a) There
was positive effect of organizational culture on job satisfaction, b) Job characteristics
was found to have positive effect on job satisfaction, c) Motivation positively
influenced job satisfaction, and d) Communication positively explained job
satisfaction. e) The four independent variables namely organizational culture, job
characteristics, motivation, and communication contributed approximately 61.4% on
job satisfaction. The findings of this study provided practical recommendation, in
terms of enhancing job satisfaction, it is needed to develop organizational culture, job
characteristics, motivation and communication.
