Abstract

The development of fish farming by cages system very rapidly in
Lake Maninjau, causing goldfish and tilapia mass deaths each year,
causing material losses are not small for fish farmers. Research carried out
by descriptive method is surveying at the location of the research study
was conducted research invitation data collection is done at two levels,
namely the depth of the surface level and level depth of 15 meters. The
results were obtained Maninjau Lake water quality data are analyzed by
methods Storet shows water quality of Lake Maninjau classified as poor or
heavy polluted. Based on the value of water quality parameters in June
namely phosphorus was 45.5 ± 9.4, water transparancy was 0.83 ± 0.19
and chlorophyl-a was 123.7 ± 31.3, in December phosphorus was 68.5 ±
11.2, water transparancy was 0.9 ± 0.2 and chlorophyl-a was 70.75 ±
75.43-a average values obtained in June was 63.32 ± 4.03 and in
December was 65.29 ± 0.98, then the lake Maninjau being classified as
eutrophic status. Imposition of organic matter in the waters of Lake
Maninjau based on the amount of feed and fish production Keramba cage
(KJA) for eight years has been accumulated as much as 105,311.97 tons,
with the average load per year 13163.9963 ton, and loads per day on
average reaches 36 , 57 tons.
