KAJIAN PENERAPAN SISTEM PENJAMINAN MUTU (QUALITY ASSURANCE) PADA PELAKSANAAN PROYEK DI SUMBAR MELALUI PENDEKATAN PDCA

Abstract

Quality assurance (Quality Assurance) is a program that includes activities required to deliver
quality work in order to meet project requirements. Quality assurance activities include PLAN (P),
DO (D), CHECK (C), ACTION (A) or PDCA. This study aims to determine the exact application
of the quality assurance system (Quality Assurance) by the contractor in West Sumatra and
constraints in the implementation of Quality Assurance (QA) on the implementation of the project
construction work by the contractor in West Sumatra. This research was conducted against the
contractor of the construction project to qualified-grade 4 in West Sumatra by distributing
questionnaires to the contractor. Results of questionnaire data were completed and returned later
processed reached 35 respondents. The data is then processed to find the frequency and percentage
of contractors application of Quality Assurance. From the results of data processing and data
analysis, it can be concluded that the adoption of QA of all the elements that exist in every
component of PDCA, there were approximately 11.43% of contractors implement all elements of
QA, there are about 45.71% that applies> 50% QA element, there are about 40.00% that applies>
50%. While the contractor did not execute QA elements there are around 2.86%. Constraints
contractors primarily-grade 4 have not implemented quality assurance because it is still a lack of
understanding of the component elements of the Plan Do Check Action (PDCA).
