PENGARUH PENGGUNAAN TEKNIK PETA PIKIRAN DENGAN MEDIA FOTO BERITA DAN MOTIVASI BELAJAR TERHADAP KETERAMPILAN MENULIS CERPEN SISWA KELAS XI IPS SMA NEGERI 8 KERINCI

Abstract

This research purposed to explain the influence of a mind mapping technique with media
news photos and student's motivation for write short stories skill. Theory was using in this
research is Heru and Sutardi (2012) about the short story, the theory Yamin (2009) about
motivation and Saleh (2008) about a mind mapping. This study uses a quasi experiment with
factorial design (factorial design). The population in this study were all students of class XI
IPS SMA N 8 Kerinci totaling 91 students with a sample of 63 students consisting of 31
students of class XI IPS1 and 32 class XI IPS2. From the data analysis it was found that first,
there is a significant effect of the use of the technique of mind maps by media news photos of
the skills to write short stories because Fh to 4.329> 3.81 Ft then said alternative hypothesis
(H1) is accepted. Secondly, there is a significant effect of the use of the technique of mind
maps by media news photos of the short story writing skills for students who have high
motivation to learn because Fh 3.268> 3.24 Ft it is said that the alternative hypothesis (H1)
accepted. Third, there is a significant effect of the use of the technique of mind maps by
media news photos of the short story writing skills for students who have low learning
motivation because Fh 3.268> 3.24 Ft it is said that the alternative hypothesis (H1) accepted.
Fourth, there is no significant effect of interaction techniques use mind maps with photos of
news media and learning motivation of the students' skills in writing short stories because Fh
2,458 <Ft 3.81 it is said that receiving the initial hypothesis (H0) rejected. From these
results it can be concluded that the technique of mind maps with photos of news media can be
used in learning the skills to write short stories.
