Health development organization supported by several health professionals. nurses as one of the health workers who have the primary task in providing health services to the community, where the service is the most convenient service in determining the degree of prosperity for a nation. In providing services to the community nurses often act at high risk of lawsuits. Case law affecting nurses lately quite alarming and attention especially to nurses as health care providers. nurses at risk and they involved in the case due to legal action taken to patients who pose an undesirable condition. The problems that the author adopted in this study is why the
deviation measures service procedures by nurses in performing, any problems that arise due to irregularities standard service procedures by nurses and how the legal protection of nurses who commit acts outside the competence of nursing services. The purpose of this study was to analyze the case of deviation measures service procedures by nurses in performing, analyzing problems that arise due to irregularities standard service procedures by nurses and analyze how the legal protection for nurses who acted outside the competence of nursing. This study is a socio-legal research in of research sites DR.M.Djamil Padang hospital. The data used are primary and secondary data. Data were collected throught interviews, document studies and questionnaires, data were analyzed qualitatively. From the results of this study concluded that the work deviations service procedures by nurses that perform invasive, without any delegation of authority from doctors to nurses due to the incompatibility of a doctor-patient ratio, which should be written delegation of authority does not exist in DR.M Djamil Padang hospital. The problems that arise due to irregularities procedures by nurses that resulted in injury and death in patients and the legal malpractice suit by the family of the patient. Law protection given in the hospital is party to mediation with the families of patients who suffered injury and death due to improper service procedures performed by nurses.
