PENGARUH KOMPENSASI DAN DISIPLIN KERJA TERHADAP KINERJA PEGAWAI SEKRETARIAT DAERAH KABUPATEN KEPULAUAN MENTAWAI DENGAN MOTIVASI KERJA SEBAGAI VARIABEL INTERVENING
Abstract
The objective of this study is efforted to explain the effect of compensationand work disciplineto employee performance, and the effect of work motivation as intervening variable among compensation and work discipline to employee performanceof the Regional Secretariat of Mentawai Islands Regency.Population in this study amount 113 people contents all of employee in the Regional Secretariat of Mentawai Islands Regency.Technique of sampling is sensus method because the total of population only 113 people using questionnaire, furthermore data processing with validity test and reliability test, for hypotesis test using multiple regression, simple regression and compound regression. The result of study concludes that compensationhas significant and positif influence to employee performance, disciplinehas significant and positif influence to employee performance, compensation has significant and positif influence to work motivation, discipline has significant and positif influence to work motivation, work motivationhas significant and positif influence to employee performance and work motivation able to mediate relationship among compensation and discipline to employee performanceof the Regional Secretariat of Mentawai Islands Regency. The result also proved that the contribution of compensation anddiscipline to employee performance 52,7%, remaining 47,3% is given and explained by another variabels excluded in this model. Work motivation as intervening variable is able to increase the contribution of compensation and discipline1,2%.
