IDENTIFIKASI WASTE PADA INDUSTRI LOGAM BERDASARKAN PROSES PERMESINAN

Abstract

Metal industries are one of industry that contributes on development of West Sumatera Province. However, most of metal industries still have high waste on production process activity such as defect, over processing, long waiting time and so on. The purposed of this research was identified most dominant waste types that occurred on metal production process based on lean manufacturing concept. This research had been done at metal industry in Padang City and Pariaman City. Questionnaire had been used to collect research data and spread to respondent based on purposive sampling. The number of samples about 70 respondent that consist of leader, worker, supervisor, etc. Structural Equation Modeling PLC (SEM PLS) had been used in data processing. The final result shows that the most dominant waste at metal industries were motion, transportation, and waiting. Kata Kunci : Waste, lean manufacturing, Structural Equation Modelling
