PENGGUNAAN SURFAKTAN CAMPURAN TERHADAP PEMBENTUKAN KESTABILAN EMULSI W/O
Abstract
Emulsion liquid membrane system consist of two type: O/W emulsion ( oil in water) and W/O emulsion( water in oil). Emulsion liquid membrane W/O made by mixing internal aquatic phase with organic membrane phase ( organic solvent, extraktant, and surfactant. Surfactant selected precisely determines forming of stable emulsion membrane. Surfactant type which commonly use as mixture surfactant to form emulsion W /O is generally come from sorbitol ester (span) group and polyoxyethylenated orbital ester (tween) group. Surfactant selected by determining HLB mixture value use some surfactant type pursuant to optimum solubilization value of water phase in oil phase and determine surface tension and interface tension. Mixture surfactant is better the than single surfactant used in emulsion liquid membrane (W/O) because having the nature of sinergis marked by maximum solubilization value in kerosine.. Mixture surfactant span-80 and tween - 20 at concentration 3% ( w/w ) in kerisine with HLB mixture 4,8 can yield a stable emulsion membrane during 4 hour.Downloads
