PERANCANGAN INCLINE TUBE CLARIFIER
The settlement of clean water requirement per man per day in Indonesia is about 60 liters. But many people can not pulfil that requirement because of its resources is very limited. So its needed to threat raw water to be clean water and to distribute it to the people. The fulfilment of clean water requirement of the people will impact their health and their productivity. This research aimed to study the effect of resident time and tube inclination to the performance of tube clarifier. In the rank of 600 – 900, tube inclination proportional to the clarifier performance; high clarifier performance obtained at tube inclination 600. While, the influent of flow rate depend on the ratio of flow rate itself to the tube volume (residen time). The turbidity of clean water yielded opposite with the residen time implemented. It can be concluded that standardized clean water can be produced if clarifier operated at 1 minutes residen time and 600 tube inclination.
