Abstract

To analyze behavior of dynamic system in vibration testing is observed from its response about stimulus working on it. The specific relation of stimulus-response is known as frequency response or transfer function that related on their location and direction. Frequency Response Function (FRF) of a structure where stimulus force subjected is measured by tranducer. Accelerometer, a type of vibration sensor (tranducer) is utilized in this experimental setup. Different gain of mass acceleration conducted by stimulus force on cylinder engine, will impact to proportional frequency gain. It is important to determine the natural frequency of a system according to known the dynamic behavior. Voltage signals from accelerometer then converted to frequency in time domain which also convert analog to digital signal by Multi Signal Analyzer (MSA) before analyzed to get shape of coherences, peak of amplitude or just a noise signal in various rpm of engine.
