Abstract

At this time, export of cinnamon  was still in a quill form. Removal of Cinnamon  leather  was generally at 120 cm high from ground. Waste of cinnamon tree as branch and leaf did not useful. While at the other country in the world, has been used as cinnamon oil. Removal essential oil from cinnamon branch leather and cinnamon leaf could be done with extraction and distillation. This research was used two solvent,  hexane and ethanol to extract essential oil and studied essential oil content in leather from 10, 20, 30 cm high from gound. Yield of research showed, water gave higher yield of essential oil than hexane and ethanol solvent.  This reason because there was losses of essential oil in  solvent when removal solvent from essential oil by heating.
