Abstract

BTS (base transceiver station) antenna height factor on a very large transmitter stations influenced lightning strike, general strike of lightning that can grab the antenna is cloud to ground lightning strike with repeated strokes. Users on the antenna wire protectors are vital to channel the lightning current into the ground and the type of cable used is a coaxial cable, where the lightning current flowing along the channel coaxial cable used in the antenna will cause a very large voltage on input terminal with the grounding of isolation so can damage the equipment. From the use of such coaxial overvoltage calculation arising at the coaxial cable used and the voltage drop on the grounding electrode where large voltages are analyzed is very dependent on large lightning peak current and the use of a good earthlings system.
