Abstrak

Sperm Bank is one form of assisted Reproduction technology in the world of health. Sperm
bank is a sperm retrieval technique from a donor which is then stored using Nitrogen liquid so
that sperm remains resistant and does not die (Ciryiobanking). But the use of sperm banks is
very contradictory in Indonesia because it violates norms, religion and culture. The application
of sperm banks when applied can cause problems in the future. Problems that can occur such
as sperm used from donors are unknown to the person if not from a legitimate partner, then
the child born from this technology is not clear who the nasab, and other problems such as
inheritance. Some sperm banks are implemented in other countries such as China, the
Netherlands and Australia. Countries that apply sperm banks are used to get offspring they
want from both physical and non-physical characteristics. What is the perception of health
workers in the presence of sperm banks in getting offspring? To get answers from this question,
empirical juridical research was carried out by distributing questionnaires. The results of the
study illustrate that health workers reject the existence of a bank of social security, and if there
is only a peda partner can be done legally and planted in the mother's womb where the egg
cell originated.
