NILAI ESTETIKA DALAM PETATAH-PETITIH UPACARA PERKAWINAN MASYARAKAT MINANGKABAU PADA KAJIAN MAANTAN TANDO DI KENAGARIAN CAMPAGO KECAMATAN V KOTO KAMPUNG DALAM KABUPATEN PADANG PARIAMAN

Abstrak

This study aims to describe the aesthetic values based on the element of unity, harmony,
balance, and contradiction in petatah-petitih at marriage ceremony on study in
Kanagarian Campago Kecamatan V Koto Kampung Dalam Kabupaten Padang
Pariaman. Thewriteruses theories according to Atmazaki (2007) and Ratna (2007) in
analyzing the aesthetic value in the petatah petitih. This research is qualitative research
with descriptive method. The technique analysis of the data are identification the
aesthetic values, describing the aesthetic values,and making the conclusion. The result of
the data analysis shows first, the aesthetic values of petatah-petitih in the event
maantaan tando are found 39 data of unity, 35 data about harmony, 6 data about
balance, and 6 data about contradiction. The result of the data analysis showed that the
element of unity is more dominant found than elements of harmony, balance, and
contradiction. Based on the result of analysis, it can be concluded that petatah-petitih in
the marriage ceremony contains aesthetics values.
