AN ANALYSIS OF LANGUAGE STYLE IN SNOWPIERCER MOVIE

Abstract

This study is to identify the language styles used in Snowpiercer movie. The writer finds the results by using descriptive qualitative method in analyzing the language styles. As a conclusion, the researcher finds four out of five language styles used in this movie, namely formal style has 4 data, consultative style contains 73 data, casual style contains 78 data, and intimate style contains 52 data, in that order. It can be observed from the usage of language style that the most common style is casual, which comprises 78 data. The language style excepted is frozen style
