PENGEMBANGAN DESAIN KEMASAN KRIPIK TALAS BALADO BERDASARKAN KANSEI ENGINEERING DI UMKM KRIPIK BALADO SALSABILA

Abstract

UMKM Kripik Balado Salsabila is a producer of Padang specialties, one of the products produced is Kripik Talas Balado, which is packaged using clear plastic packaging with business information stickers added. So that a new innovation is needed to obtain market segmentation from three segments, namely the taste segment, product type segment and packaging appearance segment. Of the three segments, UMKM Kripik Balado Salsabila focuses on the appearance of packaging in accordance with the wishes of consumers so as to gain competitiveness with other competitors. Packaging design innovation aims to increase product attractiveness so that consumers are interested in trying the products offered. Kansei engineering type 1 is used to design packaging designs based on consumers' emotional desires for the packaging design of a product, with 10 stages of design but only up to 8 stages are used. The results of the packaging design are designed with a standing pouch packaging form, aluminum packaging material and a complex packaging display consisting of business information and product information, color selection with a combination of red and yellow, then added a melted balado motif to give the impression of a packaged product, ziplock to open and close the packaging and display the packaged product.
