PERANCANGAN TEMPAT ISTIRAHAT DAN PELAYANAN (TIP) “MITRA” PADA JALAN NON TOL SUMBAR-KERINCI DI KABUPATEN SOLOK

Abstract

This study aims to design a Rest and Service Area (TIP) with the name "Mitra" which will be located on the non-toll road Sumbar-Kerinci in Solok Regency. The road is a vital route that connects two regions that have considerable tourism and economic potential. The purpose of this design is to provide convenient facilities and adequate services for road users who cross the area. The methods used in this study include field surveys to evaluate the needs of road users, data analysis on traffic volume, and literature studies on existing TIP service designs and standards. Based on the results of the analysis, the design of TIP facilities was carried out which included parking areas, rest areas, sanitation facilities, dining areas, and information services. The results of this study show that the design of the "Mitra" TIP on the Sumbar-Kerinci non-toll road in Solok Regency will make a positive contribution in improving the comfort and safety of road users, as well as supporting tourism and economic development in the region. It is hoped that the implementation of this design can be a reference for related parties in the development of infrastructure and services along the road.
