PERANCANGAN ASRAMA MAHASISWA DENGAN MENGAPLIKASIKAN MARTABAT HATTA DI UNIVERSITAS BUNG HATTA

Abstract

Bung Hatta University has three campuses, all of which are located in Padang. Like other universities, Bung Hatta University has provided dormitories for its students, especially for new students who are coming to Bung Hatta University for the first time. Most of the new students come from regencies or provinces outside West Sumatra. Student dormitories also have main objectives, such as creating a learning environment, a place to socialize students, a space to increase student creativity and make other positive contributions. In this research, the method used is a qualitative approach with a SWOT analysis approach. The form of the building concept where this building has a simple form of badaun right-angled carving whose meaning is flexibility (easy to adjust) which is arranged into a triangle for the center point. The shape of this student dormitory is designed from the application of Hatta's dignity by conceptualizing it in the outer space and inner space. The student dormitory applies Hatta's dignity which is the approach used in this design process. Hatta's dignity in the form of honesty, discipline / austerity, and religiosity is used in all aspects of the outer and inner space programs. This is different from other dormitory buildings that apply Hatta's traits to the building, this will be an idea of novelty in design. Keywords : University, Student, Dormitory, Hatta's Dignity
