PENGARUH FAKTOR ORGANISASIONAL TERHADAP STRES KERJA PEGAWAI SEKOLAH TINGGI AGAMA ISLAM NEGERI KERINCI DENGAN PENGALAMAN KERJA SEBAGAI VARIABEL PEMODERASI

Abstract

The important of work stress has been documented by many reseachers. In addition, work stress would effect the behavioural outcome, such as intention to exit, job satisfaction and etc. Study about work stress has been done by using the business organization and little attention has been paid to the higher education institution (HEI). Therefore, this study aims to investigate the effect of role conflict, career barriers, work overload, work environment, on work stress. In addition, this study also examine the role of work experience as moderating variable between that organizational factors and work stress.
The population was all lecturers in Islamic HEI in Kerinci with sample of 89 lecturers. The data analysis was use is moderated regression analysis (MRA). The result show that there is a positive significant effect of role conflict, barriers career, excess work load on work stress. However, working environment has a significantly negative effect on work stress. Further, work experience partially moderate the relationship between organizational factors and work stress. This study has a practical implication in the sense that work stress could be managed by managing that organizational factors.
