PENGARUH KARAKTERISTIK INDIVIDU DAN BEBAN KERJA GURU TERHADAP KEPUASAN KERJA DENGAN STRES KERJA SEBAGAI VARIABEL INTERVENING (STUDI PADA GURU SDN DI KECAMATAN PASAMAN KABUPATEN PASAMAN BARAT)

Abstract

The objective of this study is efforted to explain the effect of individual characteristic and
load work of teacher to job satisfaction, and the effect of work stress as intervening variabel
among individual characteristic and load work to job satisfaction of primary school’s
teacher at Pasaman district Pasaman Barat Region. Population in this study amount 514
people contents all of teacher in primary school at Pasaman district Pasaman Barat Region.
Technique of sampling is proportional random sampling method and to determine of sum of
sample using slovin’s formula thus sum of sample is 225 people. To Collect data using
questionnaire, furthermore data processing with validity test and reliability test, for
hypotesis test using multiple regression, simple regression and compound regression. The
result of study concludes that individual characteristic significant influence and positif to job
satisfaction, work load significant influence and positif to job satisfaction, individual
chacteristic significant influence and negative to work stress, work load significant influence
and positive to work stres, work stress significant influence and negative to job satisfaction
and work stress able to mediate relationship among individual characteristic and work load
to job satisfaction of primary school’s teacher at Pasaman district Pasaman Barat Region.
The result also proved that have a contribution of individual characteristic, work load to job
satisfaction 36,2%, remaining 63,8% a given and explained by another variabels excluded in
this model. Work stress as intervening variabel is able to increase the contribution of
leadership and task assertion variabel 1,7%.
