THE IMPACT OF ORGANIZATIONAL COMMITMENT AS MEDIATOR ON THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN JOB SATISFACTION AND READINESS FOR CHANGE: THE ROLE OF LOCUS OF CONTROL AS MODERATING
Abstract
The purpose of the study was to investigate the impact of organizational commitmentas mediation on the relationship between job satisfaction and readiness for change
and to test moderating role of locus of control. The number of usable samples in this
study was 70 employees who were currently working for Office of Income and Asset
and Finance Management in Kerinci Regency. In order to collect the data, this study
used questionnaire while technique of anlysis was performed simple, moderate and
hierarchical regression analysis. The results of study reveals that organizational
commitment was found to mediate the relationship between job satisfaction and
readiness for change. In addition the locus of control do not show as moderating
variable on the relationship between job satisfaction and organizational commitment.
This finding has practical and theoritical implications. Practically, the
organizational could improve the readiness for change by controlling the
organizational commitment and job satisfaction.
